Electrical Project Engineer

Job Role

Working alongside JJ Loughran electrical engineering staff to deliver industrial electrical on site services and projects throughout UK & Ireland. Liaising with management, estimators, purchasers, on-site engineering staff and working alongside our technical sales and engineering design staff.

Ensuring engineering works are delivered on time, to specification and to budget. Directly engaging with our expanding customer base throughout the UK & Ireland and becoming a member of our team.

Main Duties

  • Assisting in the roll out of electrical engineering works by directly liaising with management, site lead engineers and customers. 
  • Management of personnel, budget, and scheduling to deliver a successful project.
  • Drawing up method statements of how works are to be completed safely minimizing risks.
  • Working on site and from head office.
  • Assisting in creation of as fitted drawings and handover documentation to our clients.

Essential

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Successful completion of an Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Willing to develop and learn new skills with on and off the job training.
  • Candidates should have a driving license and possess a willingness to learn and develop their engineering skills in a fast paced engineering company at the forefront of our field.

Desirable

  • Proficient in the use of CAD
  • Experience in industrial Electrical Project Management

Senior Electrical Estimator

Job Role

  • Working alongside JJ Loughran electrical engineering staff to deliver industrial electrical site services and projects throughout UK & Ireland. Liaising with management, estimators, purchasers, on-site engineering staff and working alongside our technical sales and engineering design staff. Ensuring tenders are accurately costed and compiled and that submission deadlines are met.

Main Duties

  • Develop a strong understanding of clients commercial and technical requirements
  • Review of client enquiry specification, to produce technically and commercially attractive bid submissions to the client within the tender submission timeframe.
  • Meet with prospective customers as needed to understand project scope, specifications, budget, etc. in order to provide customers with the best solution.
  • Carry out site surveys, attend pre-tender, post tender and pre-order meetings.
  • Liaise with our design team and contracts managers to ensure accuracy of quotes.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical power and distribution systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project costs
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Willing to develop and learn new skills with on and off the job training.

Desirable

  • Proficient in the use of CAD
  • Understanding of electrical control systems.
  • Experience in industrial Electrical Installations
  • Experience in the costing of MCC’s and Switchboards

Industrial Electrician

Job Role:

  • Installation of containment services to include ladder, tray, basket and conduit.
  • Installing LV & HV switchgear, control panels and secondary equipment.
  • Power and control cabling installation and termination.
  • Testing and commissioning controls.
  • Complying with all current regulations.

Essential:

  • Candidates must be dependable, reliable and have a wiliness to learn.
  • Candidates must have a positive, pro-active approach to working in a team environment along with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates must be able to work to a high standard in terms of quality and health & Safety.

Desirable:

  • Experience within industrial & commercial electrical installations.
  • Experience of testing and fault finding within a process control environment would be an advantage but not essential.

Industrial Commissioning Engineer

Job Role:

  • Installing of LV switchgear, control panels and secondary equipment.
  • Power and control cabling installation and termination.
  • Testing and fault finding within control panels and instrumentation devices.
  • Carrying out alterations to existing control panels on site to suit the clients requirements.
  • Commissioning controls panels and installations on site.
  • Installation, commissioning and maintenance of VSD’s.
  • Opportunities within installation of HV switchgear and controls (training provided)
