3.0 MVA to 4.8 MVA HV & LV Upgrade

Complete HV and LV upgrade of factory’s three main incoming power transformers from 1000kVA to 1600kVA each  Tx A, B & C

Reconfiguration of 11KV HV Ring network to power a total of six transformers for duration of the works.

Supply and installation of Quantity 3;

1600Kva 11KV to 415 Volt Low Loss ONAN Transformers,

Fitted complete with RN2c-T2 Ring Main Units & VIP300 Relays.

Design and supply of Quantity 3 * LV switchboards to 2500A to include;

Form 4 Type 2 build,

Modbus metering on all outgoing circuits,

Shunt trips in conjunction with onsite gas leak detection system to isolate appropriate ACB/MCCB’s in case of a high gas alarm,

Top & Bottom cabling entry to utilise existing cable lengths.

Modification, set up and testing to South West Wales HV ring feeders for increased 4.8 mVA power supply to include;

Fitting new HV CT’s within each feeder to cater for new discrimination settings,

HV switchgear servicing,

Set up and testing of discrimination settings.

Switching over LV outgoing cabling using a paralleled changeover system running the old and new transformers and LV power boards side by side.

Carrying out all transfer works within a maximum window of a seven hour time period to allow site to return normal operation after each nights transfer works.

Complete design of entire project to include all electrical aspects as detailed above, new building design for HV and LV equipment and services, liaising with client, utility supplier and building contractor to adhere to strict deadline for completion of works.

Supply of all onsite crane & forklift hire for the completion of all electrical works on site.

Dismantling and removal of all redundant LV and HV equipment after completion of works.

Supply & Installation of quantity 3 * 400Kvar Detuned Power Factor Correction units.

Completing contract ahead of schedule over a 4 week period within a quantity of five, seven hour shutdowns.
