Background: 

JJ Loughran has extensive experience with repairing and overhauling generators in Vestas turbines that include the V25, V27 & V29 Models.

The Solution: 

JJ Loughran engineers can carry out a full detailed mechanical and electrical inspection of the vestas siemens generator both in-house and onsite.

Engineering manager will brief the customers as to the extent of the works that need to be carried out and their costs. This is discussed before any work commences.

We carry out a full disassembly and cleaning of all parts. A detailed inspection of Vestas generators main components is also carried out.

We Measured all critical dimension to ensure there was no mechanical wear on shaft, bearing housings or any other main components.

We balance generator rotor on JJ loughran’s state of the art IRD soft balancing machine, which gives our customers more detailed and comprehensive balancing reports.

Supply an installation of SKF Drive and Non- Drive end bearings as standard.

Full varnish / Re- lacquering and stoving of generator windings is also provided

We can carry out a full rewind of generator turbine, if there has been a catastrophic failure in the generator windings. We also have extensive expertise in converting the generator from 690 VAC Star to 400VAC Delta.

We reassemble all parts and test run the turbine generator on our state of the art test bed. All results including rpm, vibration, torque, speed and amps are recorded.

Full re-spray of generator to original Vestas specification.
